RipRip terms of service

1. What RipRip is

RipRip is closed-loop store credit issued by FirstRip Collectibles. One (1) RipRip represents one United States dollar ($1.00) of redemption value against goods and services offered directly by FirstRip.

RipRip is not money, not a gift card redeemable for cash, not a security, and not a stake in any outcome. It is a prepaid balance recorded on FirstRip's ledger.

2. No cash conversion

RipRip can never be converted to cash. FirstRip does not operate a cash-out facility and will not refund a RipRip balance to a payment card.

Where a refund is required by law, it is processed through an administrative review with a written reason recorded against your account.

3. No transfer for consideration

You may not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer RipRip to another person for payment or any other consideration. Any attempt to do so may result in the balance being frozen pending review.

4. Purchased and awarded credit

RipRip is held in two separate buckets. Purchased RipRip is the base amount you paid for. Awarded RipRip is promotional bonus credit issued by FirstRip.

Purchased RipRip will not expire within five (5) years of issuance. Awarded RipRip carries an expiry date displayed in your wallet at the time of issue. FirstRip will notify you thirty (30) days and seven (7) days before awarded credit expires.

When you spend, awarded credit is used first (oldest first), then purchased credit (oldest first).

5. Bonus rates are fixed and published

Bonus RipRip is determined solely by the size of the credit pack purchased and your membership tier. Bonus RipRip is never determined by the contents of any box, pack, break or other randomised outcome.

Published bonus rates may change prospectively. The rate shown at the time of your purchase is the rate applied to that purchase.

6. Buyback offers

FirstRip may offer to buy a card you own. Every offer states a cash amount and a RipRip amount, together with an expiry time.

You may accept the cash offer, accept the RipRip offer, or decline. Declining or allowing an offer to expire has no effect on your account, your standing, or any future offer you may receive.

RipRip received for a buyback is credited to the purchased bucket, because it is consideration for goods rather than a promotional award.

7. Ledger and records

Every issuance, spend, refund, expiry and administrative adjustment of RipRip is recorded as an immutable ledger entry with a timestamp and, where applicable, the staff member responsible and the reason given.

Your full transaction history is available in your wallet and can be exported at any time.

8. Eligibility and geographic restrictions

Certain features, including purchase of break spots and entry to promotions, may be restricted or unavailable based on your state of residence. Restrictions may be applied or lifted at any time to comply with applicable law.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms are versioned. Where a change is material, you will be asked to review and accept the new version before your next RipRip purchase or redemption. Your acceptance is recorded with the version and timestamp.
